The LDS Group
Louisiana Dealer Services Insurance, Inc. (LDS) was formed in 1977 by a group of franchised automobile dealers that wanted to offer Mechanical Breakdown Insurance (MBI) policies to its customers. Since inception, The LDS Group has added additional insurance products offered through its wholly owned subsidiaries. The following is a list of companies that make up The LDS Group.
Louisiana Dealer Services Insurance, Inc. (LDS)
LDS is the parent company of The LDS Group. It is licensed as a vehicle mechanical breakdown insurer and has offered MBI policies since 1977. It is among the oldest MBI and vehicle service contract (VSC) companies in the United States. LDS has issued more than 1 million MBI policies.

Loss Deficiency Surety Insurance Company (LDSIC)
LDSIC is licensed as a property residual value insurer and issues GAP coverage through dealerships, finance companies and banks throughout Louisiana. Since its formation in 1996, LDSIC has paid more than $54 Million GAP claims on behalf of its Louisiana policyholders.

First Assurance Life of America (FAL)
FAL is a Louisiana chartered life insurance company which started operation in 1980. It is a direct writer of credit life and credit disability and is one of the largest writers of credit life insurance in the state, as well as one of the top 20 writers of credit life in the United States.
